Former ANTHRAX Guitarist Joins MEAT LOAF!

January 4, 2003

Former ANTHRAX and current SEBASTIAN BACH guitarist Paul Crook has joined MEAT LOAF's touring band.

Having previously worked with the likes of Bach, ANTHRAX, GLENN HUGHES and movie director John Carpenter, Crook couldn't be more excited to work with MEAT LOAF and such a talented group of musicians.

"First off, I am honored to play my guitar for Meat," Paul said. "He is a wonderful human being/musician/entertainer. The whole organization rocks! Great people. Musically, his songs are brilliant and the guitar parts are dynamic. I can't believe how much room there is for me to play. [MEAT LOAF musical director/bassist] Kasim [Sulton] and the rest are amazing musicians. I'm incredibly excited to work with them as well. Lots of big chords coming off of the stage... You know: D 7th # 9 to the 13th power kinda stuff. 220, 221. Whatever it takes..."

Paul, who is scheduled to start rehearsals with the band later this month, will be learning the new songs from MEAT LOAF's upcoming CD, "Couldn't Have Said It Better", for performances on television shows, radio shows and private media events. Says Sulton, "We're doing European Promotion first as that's where the record will be released initially. We have at least 3 separate TV shows in Germany including one called 'Wetten Das'. We've done this show before and it's a real event. That show only appears six times a year and when it does, most of the country tunes in to watch. Sort of a two-hour variety show." An extensive world tour will follow in support of the CD.
